They still live in the house I grew up in--a two-store craftsman home built in the very early 1900s. It's a lot of house. We scraped off any loose paint and followed that with a coat of primer and two coats of paint. The weather was perfect for painting, too. By Sunday night, we'd finished the entire north side of the house and the front. We'll be back--weather permitting--this weekend or next to help them finish. It's looking great and we were so happy to help them. It will be such a good feeling to have a freshly-painted home.
The photo is the only one I snapped of our painting project. Scott was brave and spent most of the weekend on the ladder.

I guess that leads me to this morning...happy Monday! I am trying so hard to stay positive about today. Friday at work was absolutely crazy and a bit crisis-filled and I'm not looking forward to dealing with some of the aftermath today. Tonight I think I'll celebrate making it through the day by cooking something delicioso and perhaps having a glass of wine.
This week I'm looking forward to spending some time cleaning (yes, cleaning), planning some DIY projects and Thursday, we're going to see Girl Talk with friends.
